WoodSpoon : Connecting Diners to Home Chefs
What is WoodSpoon?
WoodSpoon is an on-demand homemade food delivery platform that enables home chefs to share their dishes with customers looking to eat healthier and less industrial while experiencing unique cuisines that seem to be disappearing as time evolves.
WoodSpoon was founded by two Israelis in the big apple, who felt a need to fill the void of the Middle Eastern dishes that our souls and taste buds missed. They started exploring home cooking options and realized their importance. They learned that every community shares the same emotional experience, with the only differentiator being the spices used and dishes cooked.
Their vision is to connect people through food. They want to bridge cultural gaps and empower communities to preserve their heritage and share it with others, as their team consists of immigrants who each bring their own unique food and culture.
They recruit talented chefs, whether working for restaurants or cooking as a second job, and they expect them to cook what they would for their family dinner. Unique, homemade, healthy, and full of love.
WoodSpoon launched in three NYC neighborhoods in November 2019 and now is serving more than 6000 customers in all of Brooklyn, Manhattan, Long Island City, Hoboken, and Jersey City. Customers can order for immediate delivery or schedule ahead on WoodSpoon’s free mobile app for iOS and Android. Customers are provided with a quick, reliable delivery service from the chef's kitchen, to their doorstep.

Isreal’s Bake-off winner. A 39-year-old graphic designer, born in Israel with a never-ending passion for sweets. About four years ago, in the midst of a successful design career, I left, along with my partner, everything and started making “Crembos.” First, from our home kitchen in a small apartment in Tel Aviv and later from a large and professional kitchen in central Israel. After a huge success with the Israeli business, a few months ago, we left everything behind (again) and moved to NYC to establish our new “Crembo” kitchen here!

Xiomara & Aiman Reyes
Hi! I’m Xiomara. I’m a Social Worker who loves cooking and baking. I met my husband on a trip to the Middle East and frequented my favorite restaurant in Tel-Aviv -“Ha Kosem” where he worked as a chef for the last 12 years. I couldn’t get enough of the crunchy green falafel and juicy Shawarma. I was so impressed with how humble street food could be elevated this way. He is now in NYC and we are cooking up time tested recipes from his Homeland! It’s like my favorite Shwarma and falafel from Tel-Aviv have been transported into our kitchen. We would love to cook for you and transport you as well!! Xoxo Aiman and Xio
