Have you participated in Dessert Goals before. If so, when did you attend Dessert Goals?
Twice in NYC at Dobbins Sr location. The first one 10/2016 and another but I don't recall the date.
How did you get your start?
Wholesaling my moms cake in the east village but dessert goals was my first ever event.
In three words, how would you describe your brand?
Authentic, Hip and always Fun! The brand is a reflection of my personality/culture. Only authentic Portuguese products that I grew up eating, but served in a hip Lower East Side NYC vibe
What’s your favorite treat to make on your menu? And why?
Pastéis de Nata or just Natas for short!
What’s the best dessert you’ve ever eaten?
I am a big cheesecake fan. Love me a solid NY Style cheesecake with the crunchy crust and covered in fresh strawberry glaze!
Where do you find your inspiration for creating new treats?
Mom. Always!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a food business?
Having a good Product/Service is start but don't be afraid to invest in the marketing, brand, logo, advertising. Make a good first impression! Even bad products do well with good marketing.
